Dolphin / The Dolphin collection explores the fantastical marine motifs of the French Renaissance. The highly stylized, fish-like dolphin was recognized in France as a symbol of the "Dauphin," French for "dolphin," which was the title given to the heir to the throne. The delicately layered scallop shells and playful starfish are paired with classical foliate decorations.
